Day 12

Today we had bright sun all day.  We are walking west, so our right sides got a little red.  Sun too strong for tee shirts, kept on lightweight long sleeved shirts and scarves around neck for protection. Wonderful breeze all day. No shade.

Had dinner with a young waiter from Romania, middle aged vetranarian from Croatia, and three Italians.

New countries to add to the list - Russia, Scotland, Argentina, Romania, Croatia, Ukraine.

Tonight we splurged and got a hotel room instead of staying in a hostel.  Kind of feels like cheating. Blew out the budget - 45 euros. We will do penance tomorrow.

Beginning of the day. Started cooler at dawn. 457 km to go.
