Day 4 route -Pamplona to Maneru, about 17 mi.
Began the day again in the cold rain. 37 degrees. This is typical of parts of the path. If not mud then the path itself is a stream. Slow going.
Climbed to Alto de Peron. Really windy. Lots of windmills on the mountain ridge. Our reward was this beautiful pilgrim artwork. It is said that pilgrims who reach this summit are granted forgiveness of their sins, and their spiritual health is guaranteed should they die enroute to Santiago de Compostella. I think we are good.
